Frozen Memories

I finally found some time to finish creating our wedding + Vlad's baptism album. It was a small effort on my part to fins something to do that has nothing to do with butt-wiping my son (basically, something that is a bit for me, not for anyone else).

I started musing just after I did it though... I am not sure why I even bother with the album because all my friends have seen it on my web-album - and I could just as well look at them anytime I wanted to on my laptop.

Why do we keep creating photo album in this digital ages?
To have something solid to hold?
To feel that we have somehow managed to freeze some good memories into something more real?
To give these memories a life of their own?
Are we using photo albums because they serve as cage to memories - preventing them to fly away?

I thought about this for a moment... and found my own answer... I did it cause my mother would love to skim through it whenever she's around :-P
