Goodnight Gorilla
Okay, I am now in a Blogging mood... so here's another Must-Have-Book (MHB??)The Vlad is now 22 months old and have been loving this book since he was 15 months old. The story is about Gorilla who helped all the animals escaped the Zoo at night to sleep in the Zoo Keeper's house instead. It's funny and wonderfully illustrated.
There are so many little details added in the illustration: a baloon that was released in the beginning of the book can still be seen flying through several different pages, a mouse followed Gorilla with a banana, the colors of the keys for each cages, etc. Many gestures made by the characters are mimic-prone, adding to the fun.
It is amazing how many things you can discover in this book and how it really cater to all levels of the fast progressing babies. For example, when he was 15 months, Vlad only listened to the story, soon, he started pointing out animals and saying their names, and now at 22 months, he also pointed out objects, colors, noted how the baloon is still somewhere in the sky, counted the houses, and still discovering more things each night.
Mom and Dad too still discover new things each time - did anyone noticed how the elephant is curling his trunk over the lion's tail when he sleeps? :P
